Center. He or she will be responsible for: selecting and organizing the
project participants, drawing up and implementing research plans; chairing
research meetings; collating research results for publication.
2. Participants in the Project
Participants in the project must be either researchers residing in Japan or
members of the Center's
faculty. A faculty member of the Center will assist the project organizer.
3. Venue of Research Meetings
Research meetings will be conducted at the Center.
4. Eligibility
Researchers under 65 years old as of 1st April 2005 with a non-Japanese
citizenship who are attached to a university or other research institution,
or those whom the Director deems to have equivalent qualifications.
5. Number of Openings
One project organizer will be selected each year.
6. Research Period
The project organizer is expected to arrive in Kyoto between April 1 and
August 31, 2005: the project runs for one year after arrival.
7. Application Procedure

Applicants should submit the following:
(1) Completed application forms, with a list of prospective participants.
All project participants must reside in Japan. The list should include at
least one faculty member from the Center.
(2) Sample of Work
Copies of up to three major publications by the applicant relevant to the
proposed project. Submitted materials will not be returned.
(3) Deadline for Applications
The application form and copies of publications should reach the Center by
January 17, 2003.

8. Results
The successful applicant will be invited to the Center by the Director on
the recommendation of the Center's screening committee. All applicants will
be notified of the results by July 31, 2003.
9. Research Funds
As a visiting researcher, the project organizer will be provided with the
same amount of individual research funds and domestic travel funds as
allocated to the Center faculty.
These funds may be used for ordering library books and purchasing necessary
supplies. (They may not be used, however, to hire research assistants.)
Participants in the team research project will be provided with the

necessary travel expenses to attend research meetings.
10. Stipend
As a visiting researcher, the project organizer will be paid a monthly
stipend each month roughly equivalent to that of Center faculty of similar
age and experience.
11. Results of the Project
The project organizer will be responsible for collating research reports and
submitting the manuscripts for publication within one year of the completion
of the project.

Привет, All!
Hа часах 5:20 утра. Только что посмотрена последняя серия x tv. В анимэ мире для меня существовали две вещи, с которыми я сравнивал всё остальное: Утэна и Евангелион. Так уж сложилось. Правда всегда чувстовалась некоторая ущербность ведь табуретки на двух ногах не существует. Сегодня я нашёл третью ногу это как вы уже поняли Икс. Причём как Утэна так и Ева были не совсем для меня в фокусе. А Икс это нечто чистое и высокое, как горная вершина покрытая ледниками. Очень сильная вещь. В ней не пытаются заигрывать со мной фэн-сервисом и деформами. Причём можно наслаждаться одной только графикой (Spiriyed Away, подвинься). А тут ещё и чудесный сюжет, правильный и строгий. Мне была рассказана очень трагичная история и что последнее время редкость история с несмазанной концовкой. За последние полгода это единственная вещь заставившая меня 11 серий подряд жевать уголок одеяла.
Hаверное через некоторое время первые впечатления сотрутся, но сейчас я в полном восторге.
To Yuri: Clamp с сегодняшнего дня объявляется лучшей анимэ студией. Что бы ты ни говорил.

Hеплохо выкрутились :) В общем смысл наверно правильный.
А я недавно новый фильм достал "Онмёдзи" - "Мастер инь-янь". Японский
фильм, без перевода. Попробовал переводить. С одной стороны если пытаться
перевести всё на 100% - очень сложно (фильм исторический + мистика), но, с
другой стороны, смысл происходящего практически полностью понятен. Может
рискнуть перевести его?
